haha i must congratulate myself on being able to look like an overstuffed pau in every single one of my birthday photos (except the one where there's a white spot over my face). it's not easy you know. haha yucks. but its okay i had tremendous fun so i am a happy pau.

i really do love the way the year always ends on such a happy happy note. so many happy memories and lovely things to bring the year to a close. i'm so thankful for these things:

1. kor came back! we're a family of 5 again (:
2. all my pals came back too (: finally. the noise level is up again by ten times.
3. caroling turned out okay with not tooooo many hiccups
4. happy christmas dinnerss filled with yummy ham and on one occasion, a dishful of MUSHROOMS just for me (:
5. beef's thoughtful surprise and lovely lovely gifts (: although michael roberts the mosquito did not last very long
6. birthday was spent with all the people in the world that i really like!
7. spending the new year with beef in church (:
8. getting to meet up with a wide range of people that i havent seen in ages at the various gatherings the festive season brings!
9. being able to play mario party with kor and ken again (although i lost like a dog) ok dogs dont lose.

its not to say there werent low moments during the festive season but it cant be all good! but focus on the good not the bad! (: yay. currently, just another by pete yorn makes me very extremely happy. i'm glad.

now, to tide post christmas/birthday/new year blues with pre-CNY excitement. and to try to distract myself from pre going-away blues with it-could-be-great anticipation (: oh no its creeping nearer.

anyway, MERRY CHRISTMAS FELLAS (:

is it becoming increasingly troublesome to post pictures on blogger or is it just me? sheesh.

still kinda sick from church camp which ended on friday. though i must say it's probably one of the most 'posh' camps i've been to. besides YMLC in malaysia where we had big hotel rooms. for a youth camp this was pretty pampering. hotel rooms, our very own towels, TV (!), lots of rest in the afternoons, a BIG room (hurhur cause we got the corner room), complimentary breakfast at the YWCA cafe and lots more. ahah really not bad! well i guess i kinda felt a lil old for camp this time, being the oldest official year in YM. there are older people but they're people who stay back in YM to serve. found myself spectating rather than participating most of the time. ahah but i really did enjoy making friends with all the younger YM-ers and sometimes secretly laughing at their expense. and it really reminded me of how i started getting involved in church and the super fond memories of God igniting that little flame in my heart to serve and love Him! it was actually very heart warming. no pun intended. hurhur. but honestly i guess i approached camp with a very guarded and possibly cynical attitude, cause of past camps and the whole hype of camp etc etc. like a lil tired of seeing it happen each year, where we all get on this high and we're on fire for God and we go for the altar call and commit our lives to Him and make these life-changing decisions in the span of a few hours. then after awhile it all dies away and we go back to being our same old selves. very possibly, much of this view comes from personal experience. and so this year i very subconciously guarded my heart against it. like thinking rationally in my head before making any commitments, and not letting my emotions get the better of me. it did get to me on some nights that i didnt feel anything anymore and that my heart had become so hardened to God. i wanted to feel all the things i did before like the unexplainable feeling of happiness and the strong urge to just love everybody. and i thought that there might really really be something wrong with me. cause even if i wanted to feel it, i couldnt. but today when i just thinking about everything, i realised that God was definitely there and it couldnt have just been hype. and i may not have realised it in the way that i'm used to, but He was so visible and evident in other people's lives and the way He's growing all the younger people in YM at such a mind blowing pace. just seeing people much younger than me praying for each other with such fervence and passion, seeing how the younger worship team members have improved SO much and how they just love each other so abundantly and even seeing kenneth serving now and how God's changing him really tells me that God is real and He did visit us at camp. and i realise that i do feel different. in a less hyped up and maybe strong way, but like a little feeling in my heart to remind me about the important things in life. ahaha i dunno i guess this whole year i've never really found the need to be serious and think about this stuff very much cause it's been so slack for me. like there was never really a time when i needed something very much. and it seems to be in those times that we really try and draw close to God. but i think its important to think about these things often, to keep in mind what we're living for. and this puts the whole idea of christmas back into perspective! YAY! (: falalalalala.

caroling's started! so this weeks just gonna be practice everyday. feeb's on holiday and i'm missing him already. haha at least its just a few days! then we can play cause it's his block leave! we need to go christmas shopping and get out christmas outfits (HAHA). really really looking forward to meeting up with pals too!! like cel my belle. and all the other people who have disappeared into their studies. that's over now right?? so please let's play (: went playing a lil bit on saturday night with slo and po. ahaha PO AND SLO. i guess you could also call it loser night. i wont say why though. as usual, it was retarded and fun (: i love hanging out with you guys. like really. here are some of the pictures but i dunno why i cant put more.
